The Judo app for macOS, available through the App Store, is built for design professionals with common keyboard shortcuts and familiar concepts like canvas, layers and inspector panel. Workflow is streamlined with the ability to drag and drop media files directly into your experiences and manage your own Judo files in Finder.
The layout system in Judo is simple, but powerful. Experiences automatically adjust to different screen sizes, font scaling and language direction. Judo’s “stacks and spacers” system is intuitive and makes building flexible layouts a snap.
A Judo experience is interactive and can include text, images, video and buttons. An experience may be part of a screen, a single screen, or more typically multiple linked screens. Judo supports screen transitions, carousels, horizontal scrolling and modals. Clients can add custom fonts and define global colors and these are updates applied universally.
Judo Cloud syncs your experiences with your iOS and Android apps making them instantly available to your users. Open-source lightweight SDKs on iOS and Android handle rendering. Experiences are pre-loaded and cached before your users see them to avoid loading indicators.
Judo experiences can be personalized and dynamic. Judo experiences can connect to an existing CMS or third-party APIs to display live data. Judo handles all the tricky bits like loading state and populating lists. Dynamic content can take many forms such as images incorporating personalized text, merchandise recommendations, and point of interest data.
We support design elements that make experiences created with Judo indistinguishable from native content. Compatibility with Dynamic Type and VoiceOver on iOS and Adjustable Fonts and Talkback on Android ensures compliance with accessibility settings. Language localization and optimal rendering of right to left script is supported. Dark mode settings may also be customized to align with the native application.
Experiences built in Judo can be tested using a companion iOS and Android viewer application available to download on the App Store and Playstore respectively. Sharing an experience is a sinch. The designer sends the Judo experience file to the team who can open and view it in the Judo app on their mobile device. Judo experiences are also available via Judo Cloud.
Each experience has a unique universal link and may be launched anywhere you can add a URL including push notification, in-app message, QR code, social media, email or website. Users who do not have the mobile app are presented with a web-based preview interstitial that prompts to download and drives installs.
Experiences built with Judo integrate with your marketing tech stack. A link to a Judo experience can be added to campaigns initiated via marketing automation platforms like Braze or Iterable. User data in CDPs like Segment or mParticle can be used to target experiences and responses captured via an in-app experience may be added to the consumer profile. Clients use location and ticketing platform integration to target delivery of experiences at live events.
Key metrics regarding campaign performance are presented via login to the Judo cloud. Analytics supports experimentation and optimization that is readily supported in the Judo platform. We work with clients that require advanced analytics to deliver all in app and related events—such as ticketing or location—captured with Judo. Full data exhaust may be exported to Google BigQuery data warehouse and accessed via your favorite BI platform.
